Power Sourcing Source and Output Files

Before uploading the source (input) file, ensure it meets the following requirements:

  • The file format is either tab delimited text or Excel

  • The file size is no more than 10 megabytes

  • A header row is included and does not contain special characters

  • A Vendor Name column is included and does not exceed 100 characters

  • A Vendor Part Number column is included and does not exceed 50 characters

  • The file contains no more than 250,000 rows, excluding the header row

The output file contains a list of items that were matched to curated items. All data attributes are included in this file. To see the status of the sourced item based on the Power Sourcing job, open the output file and look at the Source Type column. Options are: 

  • Curated – Data was available and the Power Sourcing job ran successfully

  • Error – An error occurred during the Power Sourcing job

  • Not Curated – No match was found for the vendor name and vendor part number

  • Missing Value – The vendor name or vendor part number was missing from the source file
