Import Mappings from an Export
Use the import mappings feature to add multiple mappings at the same time. In most cases, users will import mappings that have been exported from the application and then edited. See Export Mappings for those steps.
Tip: When you need to import new mappings (rather than from an export), click the Download Template icon on the Import Mappings dialog box to open and save an Excel template you can use.
- Click Manage Mappings. The Manage Mappings page opens.
- Click the Import
icon. The Import Mappings dialog box opens.
- Click the attach
icon.
- Select the Excel file that contains the edited and new records, and then click Open.
- Select an import option.
Options are:
Option Description Skip Duplicates check The application will not check for duplicate data. Skip Buyer Organization relationship check The application will not check the buyer organization relationship. This option is used for G-Fax channel traffic and unregistered accounts. Import Enabled if not Specified The rule data will import in an Enabled status. Strip Trailing and Leading Non-Visible Characters The application will strip non-visible characters (for example, white space). Replace existing data The data in the Excel file will entirely replace the current mapping data. This activity is commonly known as "flush and fill."
Caution: This action will totally replace all your organization's mappings.
Merge with existing data (prevent duplicates) The new data will be merged with the existing data but will not import duplicate data. When importing, the application compares the new data with the existing data and imports only the data that is new. Delete Matched data
The selected data will be deleted. If there is a no-match condition, no item map will be deleted per the SPN.
Best practice is to save a copy of the import deletes in case you need to recreate an item map in the future.
- Click Import.
