Parked PO Workflow

The managing parked POs workflow normally consists of the following steps:

  1. Search for and open the item.
  2. Create a rule or map that corrects the missing or inaccurate information.
  3. Identify the order lines that parked the PO and the reason why they were parked.
  4. Review the parked order lines and manually edit the item data for one-time correction or use the Item Search tab on the Manage Purchase Order page to determine the customer's proper product in the supplier catalog.
  5. Release the PO for outbound processing and delivery to the supplier's ERP system, or force release the PO, which forgoes subsequent updates.

Tip: The best practice when managing POs that require special attention is to use the yellow flag . This informs your team that you are managing this parked PO. When you open a parked PO to make edits, the system locks that order. If another user attempts to work on that same PO, an Unlock option displays. The name of the user who has the PO locked displays at the top of the Purchase Order Details. If necessary, you can click Unlock to take control of and modify the order. For example, if a colleague has left work for the day and the PO is still in a Locked state, you could click Unlock to manage the PO yourself.
