Sort Column Data

Use column sorts to bring the most relevant data to the top of the list. In the Virtual Item Master, you can apply multiple sorts simultaneously. Column sorts are available on these screens:

  • Insight - Spend
  • Insight - GTIN
  • Content Management - Duplicate Resolution
  • Content Management - Description Generation - Abbreviations
  • Content Management - Description Generation - Abbreviations Analysis
  • Content Management - Review & Approval
  • Virtual Item Master
  • Configuration - Mappings
  • User Admin
  1. Click a column header in the Spreadsheet View.

  2. Click Sort Ascending or Sort Descending. A sort order indicator displays in the column header.

Note: This functionality is only available in the Virtual Item Master and Review & Approval screens.

  1. After adding a single column sort, click Settings.

  2. Click Multiple Column Sort. The Multiple Column Sort window opens.

    Note: The existing sort populates the Sort by row.

  3. Click the Then by drop-down.

  4. Click a column in the list.

    Note: You can select columns that are not currently displayed in the spreadsheet.

  5. Click the Ascending or Descending radio button.
  6. Repeat steps 3 through 5 to set the third sort, if needed.
  7. Click OK.

    Tip: To override the multi-column sort, sort a different column in the Spreadsheet View.
