Use Power Sourcing

Use Power Sourcing as a data cleaner for items stored in or outside of your MMIS. Power Sourcing applies NuVia values to items without adding them to your Virtual Item Master. After you have power sourced the items, you can add them to your item master.

When power sourcing a file, users can select whether or not to use multi-facility matching.

• Select the Multiple Facility Match checkbox (shown below) if you want to see all items in the VIM returned when Power Sourcing

  

• Clear the checkbox to have NuVia select and return the first match it finds in the VIM (regardless of facility); only one record will be returned per power sourced item

There are three key steps when power sourcing a file:

1. Upload the file to be sourced.
2. Select the Output file columns.
3. Run Sourcing and Description Generation..
