Navigate the Content Workbench

The main navigation for the Data Connect Content Workbench is on the left. Click the collapse icon to collapse the list and the expand icon to expand it. The left navigation includes the following options.

Option Description
Dashboard

Lists important notifications (such as merger and acquisition notices) and tasks that need to be completed, including duplicate review and item recommendations.

Reports

Links to the following reports:

  • Data Relevancy: Compare the number of active and inactive items, item master spend for purchased and non-purchased items, and the POH spend by on-file spend (items with ERP-defined buyer part numbers) and non-file (items without buyer part numbers).

  • Spend Analysis: See how relevant the items in your item master are when compared to your organization's actual spend.

Content Management

Links to the following benchmark, item count, and data integrity metrics:

  • Duplicate Review: Lists possible duplicate items that are organized into groups
  • Item Recommendation: Accept and decline items by scope (for example, vendor part number). Also send items by email to GHX Content Support for verification.

    Note: A Customer Admin user can configure which scopes will be included in the Item Recommendation list. See Recommendation Management for details.

  • Content Management Metrics: Detailed insights of your data management performance, including weekly item recommendation progress, duplicate review statistics, and recommendation acceptance rates.

Curate Me

Links to the following views of provider items that aren't curated in the GHX master catalog but can be submitted to Content Operations for expedited curation:

  • Expedite Items: View and select items for expedited curation. If both the manufacturer and vendor are identified (status of In Progress), or neither is identified (status of Not Available), these items appear on this screen.

  • Manufacturer Matched: Shows items that are matched by manufacturer only when we can't match the provider vendor.

  • Vendor Matched: Shows items that are matched by vendor only when we can't match the provider manufacturer.

Integration History Research when files were integrated with your ERP system; click a link to open a specific MCAT file
Catalog Search

View the GHX catalog, find alternative supplies, and process a list of items in the Power Sourcing tool.

Configuration

Customer Admin users can see the following options:

  • Recommendation Management: Select scopes that Data Connect can automatically approve (for example manufacturer part number, HCPCS codes, or UNSPSC codes).

  • Description Management: Create a scheme to manage item descriptions that can improve data quality and consistency in your item master.

  • Integration Management: Automate data integration by scheduling it to run at specific times on chosen days of the week.
